Zoya Intimate – Swatches & Review

You might feel like you’ve seen a thousand swatches for these by now. But if you still feel the need for yet another take, here we go . . .

Intimate is a great collection. Six distinct colors compliment each other so well, without relying on any humdrum pinks or nudes to pull them together. There’s a slight haze to all these colors that makes them feel a bit unusual, while still maintaining a definite spring feeling.  The formula was really nice across the board, and all swatches are of two coats.

Zoya Dove

Dove is a lovely pale gray. It’s really soft. There are probably some dupes out there, but if you don’t have one of them, the formula on this one makes it a good choice.

Zoya Jules

Jules is the murkiest of the bunch. Equal parts elegant and edgy, it will be a great color to wear when fall comes back around too.

Zoya Gemma

This photo isn’t the best, but it’s the only angle where Gemma’s periwinkle-lavender flash showed up. The shimmer is very subtle, and barely there indoors. In sunlight it shows itself more frequently. The formula was a little sheerer on this one, but still had suitable coverage at two coats. If you click on the photo for a larger version, you may see slight VNL.

Zoya Caitlin

Surprisingly enough, Caitlin might be my favorite from the collection. There’s no special effect in this one, just pure creamy goodness. In certain lights, a more purple tone comes through than appears in the picture. Caitlin is a color that will look great on every skin tone.

Zoya Marley

Marley isn’t completely unique, but it is very well done. There is a fine silver shimmer throughout which softens the lavender hue without making it look dusty. A very nice non-pink option for the workplace.

Zoya Dannii

Fuschia and gold sparkles beam across this warm orchid purple foil. Dannii reminds me of fairies and romance novels, but there is enough depth to the color that it skirts looking tacky. Really beautiful.

Zoya Intimate is one of those collections that has something for everybody. Dove and Jules give the collection some edge, while Marley and Dannii are unabashedly pretty. Gemma and Caitlin fall somewhere in between, and are more approachable options for those who tend to stay away from blues and greens.

Zoya polishes are vegan, big 4-free, and do not contain Camphor.
